FOR EMERGENCY
DIAL  911
William F. Ramsey
William F. Ramsey, 42, firefighter, Connellsville Township Volunteer
Fire Department, died September 9, 2003, when he suffered a heart
attack at the station after returning from a fire call.  He served with the
department for four years and was its Financial Secretary.  He also
acted as a liaison between the department, local businesses and the
community, and was a member of the Fayette County Hazmat Team.
Ramsey owned the local Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and was
an active member of numerous fraternal organizations.  A scholarship
has been established in his name to help graduating high school
seniors who plan a career in emergency services or nursing.
Jarrod R. Lohr, age 3, a Honorary Member of the Connellsville
Township Volunteer Fire Department, passed away following a battle
with childhood leukemia.  After learning of Jarrod's love of fire trucks
and his great
interest in becoming a firefighter, Connellsvlle Township
VFD was
pleased to accept Jarrod as a Honorary Member.  One of
the most memorable experiences with Jarrod occurred when the fire
department was able to arrange a special private visit from Santa
Claus to grant Jarrod his wish of receiving a drum set for Christmas.
Jarrod was always full of excitement and enthusiasm, and could
always bring a smile to every firefighter's face.  A scholarship has
been established in his name to help graduating high school seniors
.
who plan a career in emergency services or nursing.

Although Bill is no longer with us, his memory and the
lessons he taught us will remain with us forever.
